How do I convert PNG to PDF?
Open PNG to PDF on Tools-Bench and add your PNG files or screenshots. Put them in order with the arrows, choose “Match image”, A4 or Letter pages, and convert. You get one PDF with an image per page. The PNGs go in without lossy compression, so text stays sharp, and nothing is uploaded.
About PNG to PDF
PNG is what screenshots, charts, diagrams and scanned drawings are usually saved as, and it's lossless: every pixel is stored exactly. This page keeps it that way. Each PNG goes into the PDF without being compressed again, so small text in a screenshot stays as crisp as it was on your screen, and transparent areas simply show the white page behind them. Add a batch — the steps of a bug report, slides exported as images, receipts from a banking app — put them in order and get one PDF, one image per page, built in your browser without uploading anything. JPG, WebP and HEIC images can go in the same PDF.
How to use PNG to PDF
1
Add your PNG files
Drop in screenshots or any other PNGs, as many as you need. Other image formats can be mixed in.
2
Set the order and page size
Use the arrows to order the pages. “Match image” gives each page the screenshot's exact proportions; choose A4 or Letter if someone will print it.
3
Convert and download
You get one PDF, a PNG per page, with none of the sharpness lost.
Frequently asked questions
Will my PNGs lose quality in the PDF?
No. PNGs are embedded as they are, without lossy compression, so the PDF shows exactly the pixels you started with — that's why the text in screenshots stays sharp. The PDF ends up roughly the size of the PNGs added together.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
The transparency is kept in the PDF, so transparent areas show whatever is behind them, which is normally the white page. A logo or diagram with a transparent background looks just as it does in an image viewer on white.
Can I search or copy the text in a PDF of screenshots?
Not straight away: a screenshot is a picture of text, so the PDF holds an image, not words. Run the finished PDF through OCR on Tools-Bench to add an invisible text layer, and it becomes searchable and copyable.
