Can I convert Markdown to PDF without installing Pandoc?
Yes. Open Markdown to PDF on Tools-Bench, paste your Markdown or open a .md file, pick a page size and convert. Headings, bold and italic, lists, blockquotes, links and code blocks are typeset into a clean PDF directly in your browser, with nothing to install and nothing uploaded. Tables and images aren't rendered yet.
About Markdown to PDF
Markdown is where notes, READMEs, and documentation live — but the moment something has to be sent, printed or attached, people want a PDF. This tool typesets your Markdown properly instead of just dumping the raw text: headings get real sizes, bold and italic use real font weights, lists get bullets and numbering, code blocks arrive in monospace on a shaded background. No HTML detour, no print dialog — the PDF is built directly in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a README.md to PDF?
Click “Open a .md file” and pick the README, or paste its contents. Headings, lists, links and code blocks are typeset; badges and other images appear as their alt text, and tables aren’t rendered yet. Choose A4 or Letter and convert — the file is read and typeset on your device, never uploaded.
What Markdown is supported?
Headings (# through ######), bold, italic, inline code, fenced code blocks, ordered and unordered lists (including nesting), blockquotes, links and horizontal rules. Tables and images aren't rendered yet.
What about special characters?
The standard PDF fonts cover Western European (Latin-1) characters; smart quotes and dashes convert automatically, and characters outside that range appear as “?” for now.
