How do I sign a PDF without printing it?

Open Sign PDF on Tools-Bench, add the document, then draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger, or type it in a script font. Drag it onto the right page, resize it and download the signed PDF. It all happens in your browser, so the contract is never uploaded. It's a visual signature, not a certificate-based one.

About Sign PDF

The print–sign–scan ritual wastes ten minutes and a sheet of paper every time a form asks for a signature. This tool skips it: draw your signature with a mouse or trackpad (or type it in a script font), place it on the right page and corner, and download the signed PDF. Because it all happens in your browser, the contract you're signing is never uploaded to anyone — which matters, given what tends to be in contracts.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding e-signature?
It places a visual signature image on the page — great for everyday forms. It isn’t a cryptographic/certificate-based digital signature.
Is it safe to sign a contract with an online PDF signer?
With most online signers you upload the contract to their servers. Here the PDF never leaves your browser, so nobody else gets a copy. Bear in mind that this adds a picture of your signature, not a verified digital signature: when a contract demands one, use a dedicated e-signing service.
Can I sign a PDF on my phone?
Yes. Open this page on your phone, add the PDF and draw your signature with your finger, then drag it into place on the page preview.
