Image Tools
Everything you need to get a photo ready for wherever it's going: compress it so a page loads fast, resize it to exact pixel dimensions, convert an iPhone HEIC into a JPG anyone can open, crop to the perfect frame, cut out the background with an AI model that runs right in your browser, trace a logo into a crisp SVG that scales to any size, or copy the text out of a photo or screenshot. Your images stay on your device throughout.
Picking the right image tool
Compress Image and Resize Image both make files smaller, in different ways. Compressing keeps the pixel dimensions and re-encodes the picture at a lower quality: photos often shrink 60–90% with no visible difference, and PNGs are saved as WebP, which keeps transparency. Resizing changes the dimensions themselves, which is what a form asking for exactly 1200 × 900 pixels needs. If compression alone isn't enough, resize first — halving the width and height cuts the file to roughly a quarter.
Convert Image switches between JPG, PNG and WebP, and turns iPhone HEIC photos and AVIF images saved from websites into files that open anywhere. Pick PNG for transparency or pixel-sharp screenshots; a JPG fills transparent areas with white. Crop Image trims to any area, freely or at a fixed ratio such as square or 16:9.
Remove Background cuts out people, products and pets as a PNG with a transparent background; busy scenes and frizzy hair can leave rough edges. Image to SVG traces logos, icons and drawings into vector paths, but turns photos into flat patches of color. Image to Text reads printed and on-screen text in 10 languages, not handwriting; for a scanned PDF, use OCR among the PDF tools instead.
Remove Background and Image to Text download their models once, on first use, and load them from your browser's cache after that. Your images themselves never leave your device.
